PGCPS Educators Win Thousands In Prizes for Teacher Appreciation Week!

To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, PGCPS partnered with local and national business partners to offer educators an opportunity to win prizes from: The American College of Education, Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, Wegmans, Kaiser Permanente, The Hotel at the University of Maryland, Mall at Prince George’s and more.

“The impact of PGCPS educators goes beyond the lesson plan," said Superintendent Millard House II. “It is the daily interactions, encouragement, moments of learning and growth that make all the difference in shaping meaningful connections for our students."

With nearly 6,000 entries received, this year’s winners were randomly selected and include:

All winners will be contacted to receive prizes.

Additionally, The University of Maryland (UMD) College of Education awarded two PGCPS educators and UMD alums with $1,000 checks: Jeimy Amaya, from International High School in Langley Park and Pedro Gonzalez of Samuel Ogle Middle School.
