• Wednesday, January 17, 2018 – Code Orange – Schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay. Emergency personnel are not eligible for liberal leave and must report to work on time.

    • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
    • There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
    • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center.
    • All field trips will be cancelled.
    • Food Services will offer breakfast.

    Bullying Information

    Bullying, harassment, and intimidation will not be tolerated at Accokeek Academy.     Chaperoning & Volunteering

    Parents, if you are interested in helping out on field trips, dances, volunteering, etc., you need to have a commercial background check or fingerprints taken. Please look at the requirements for assisting in Prince George's County and remember to bring a copy of the receipt to the main office for our school records.     Classroom Visits

    We welcome parents/legal guardians to visit their child's classroom.  Classroom visits must be arranged in advance.  Classroom visits must be conducted in a manner that does not interfere with classroom activities or any student in the class.  Classroom visits are not permitted during testing.

    If you would like to schedule a conference with a particular teacher, contact the teacher directly via telephone, email, or written note.  If you would like to schedule a team conference with all of your child's academic teachers, contact your child's guidance counselor.
