Principal for a Day

Do you want to learn more about how your business or organization can get involved
with Prince George’s County Public Schools?

Then join us for Principal for a Day!

Principal for a Day

Each year, the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce partners with Prince George’s County Public Schools to host Principal for a Day. The goal of this event is to introduce the community to the rewards and challenges that are currently part of our education system.  We hope that the Principal for a Day event will inspire active business partnerships within our schools in order to both meet the specific needs of individual schools or programs and to provide enrichment opportunities for our students that go above and beyond the core curriculum.

As a Partner you can expect:

  1. To work with your school of choice to establish an agenda for the visit that will provide you with a comprehensive picture of the school and an increased awareness about how your specific interests can provide support.
  2. To be engaged throughout the school day.  You might be helping supervise school arrivals and departures, assisting in the classroom, or shadowing the administration, but you can be sure that you will be in demand from the arrival of the first bus to the ring of the last bell.

The active involvement of the Prince George’s County community is essential in making sure our students receive every opportunity to graduate college and career ready. We hope that you will join us in learning more about how you can contribute to the future of our students.
