Monday, December 15, 2025 - Code Orange - All Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay.

Code Orange

  • Emergency personnel must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.
  • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
  • Vendor managed care programs will open at 9:00 a.m.
  • There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
  • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
  • All field trips will be cancelled.
  • Food Services will offer breakfast.
  • The PGCPS weather team will reassess conditions at 5:30 a.m. and announce any additional schedule changes by 6:30 a.m.
  • Please stay tuned to email, text alerts, the PGCPS website (pgcps.org), and our social media channels for the latest information.
