Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, 2026 - Code Orange - Schools and offices will open with a two hour delay. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.

  • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
  • Vendor managed care programs open at 9 a.m.
  • There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
  • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
  • All field trips will be cancelled.
  • Food Services will offer breakfast.
  • Facility use will continue normally. 
  • After school activities are cancelled.
  • Athletic activities will proceed as scheduled.

The Course Request Window for the 2026-2027 school year is officially OPEN and will CLOSE on January 26, 2026 (Extended Deadline).

As you prepare for next school year, please remember that Wise HS is a uniform school. All students are expected to wear khaki pants and polo/golf shirts as described in the uniform policy.
