Board Policy 3415 - School-Based Management Teams

Purpose

Integral to the School Improvement Process is school-based decision making. This is to be accomplished at each school by a School-Based Management Team (SBMT).

The SBMT should be representative of all components of the staff, and include parent and community representation. In addition to any other membership, each of the following organizations shall appoint one representative:

  1. the PTA president or other parent advisory group;
  2. the Faculty Advisory Council (FAC);
  3. ACE-AFSCME Local 2250;
  4. SEW Local 400-PG; and
  5. In high schools, the Student Government Association (SAG).
