Board Policy 5144 - Release of Information Regarding Pupils - Law Enforcement Officers

The Board of Education of Prince George’s County believes that close cooperation should exist between the school system and local County, State, and Federal agencies relative to pupils currently enrolled or formerly enrolled in schools in Prince George’s County.

Recognizing the need for cooperation, the Board of Education directs the Superintendent to establish procedures to govern contacts by 1aw enforcement officers with pupils at school, and to govern the release of information about pupils currently or formerly enrolled in schools in Prince George’s County to law enforcement officers and other local County, State, and Federal agencies.
