Board Policy 6141.5 - Expanding Cultural Opportunities for Students

CURRICULUM

The Board of Education recognizes that the county schools can provide additional means for activating and encouraging the talents of our school age children in working cooperatively with agencies, individual talented artisans, and organized artistic groups within the community.

The Superintendent shall provide courses and programs to initiate and organize opportunities for enriching the cultural backgrounds of students. Wherever possible, expanded cooperation with community individuals or groups should be explored and used to increase the number of possibilities for facilitating new or continuing activities.
