Board Bylaw 9305 - Proclamations

Purpose

The Board may issue proclamations to recognize, honor, commemorate, or endorse individuals, groups, institutions, movements, anniversaries, or other events. Such proclamations shall be treated as other resolutions requiring their introduction as a first reader and subject to a vote by the Board. Proclamations shall be numbered as are all other Board resolutions, but shall be voted upon when introduced as a first reader. Proclamations commemorating a date or event must be introduced no later than two weeks prior to the event or in the case of a commemorative week or month, not later than two weeks prior to the beginning of the period being recognized.
