Board Bylaw 9320 - Adoption and Amendment of Bylaws

Purpose

Proposed new Bylaws and suggested amendments to, or revisions of, existing bylaws may be adopted by a majority vote of the Board provided the following procedures are followed:

  • There shall be public notice at a regularly scheduled Board meeting that a First Reading of a proposed Bylaw revision will occur at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
  • Written copies must accompany the First Reading.
  • The Board may adopt the revision at the second regularly scheduled Board meeting following the First Reading, provided that four (4) weeks have elapsed since the First Reading.

By a majority vote of the Board, discussion of a proposed new bylaw or amendment may take place on the first reading of the bylaw or amendment.
