The Ombudsman serves as an independent party that seeks to resolve school and school-system issues or concerns from students, parents, and the public. Anyone can contact the PGCPS Office of the Ombudsman to discuss or seek assistance in resolving a school or school-system problem, concern, or complaint by phone, in writing, or by email.  Download brochure >>

  • 4 Steps to Resolve a Concern

    Step 1

Report your concern to your child's school principal or to the specific office supervisor or director.

    Step 2

If still unresolved, contact the area office (for schools) or specific division-level supervisor (for office). Please view this chart for guidance.

    Step 3

If after Step 1 and Step 2, you still do not have a resolution, submit your request online or call 301-808-8315.

    Step 4

We will facilitate a resolution in cooperation with PGCPS staff in compliance with policies and procedures.
