The College Board has made significant changes to the test administration timeline for the PSAT 8/9 assessment. Non-PGCPS students who are applying to certain High School Specialty Programs as a freshman for the 2025-2026 school year must submit a program application and test registration between August 1, 2024 through September 16, 2024.
Students interested in the Academy of Health Sciences, Aerospace, Engineering, Aviation and Technology and Science and Technology programs are required to take the PSAT 8/9.
After submitting an application, non-PGCPS students will be required to register and pay for the PSAT 8/9 which will be administered in October 2024. Test registration details are embedded in the application.
Eighth-grade students who are currently enrolled in PGCPS do not require an application and will take the PSAT 8/9 at their school.
