The Power of Showing Up!

At Prince George’s County Public Schools, consistent attendance is key to academic success and overall well-being.

Our goal is simple: for every student to be present and on time every day.

Regular attendance ensures access to a high-quality education and significantly impacts a child’s success from kindergarten through high school. While some absences due to health or other reasons are unavoidable, missing too much school can lead to academic setbacks and chronic absenteeism.

Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing more than 10% of the 180-day school year. To help your child thrive, make attendance a priority and commit to "JUST SHOW UP!"
