- Provide alternative, creative, and engaging instructional strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Provide opportunities for student social/emotional growth

- Support classroom environments that are student-centered and encourage creative expression

Arts Integration Highlights
- The Prince George's Artist/Teacher Institute (PGATI) immerses up to 100 teachers in participatory arts integration workshops each summer;
- The Arts Integration Master Teacher (AIMT) program provides interested teachers with deepened opportunities, feedback, and coaching to implement arts integration strategies in their classrooms;
- The Secondary AIMT cohort prepares Middle and High School students to participate in the "Beats, Verses, Boom!" Poetry Slam;
- One-time workshops in various arts integration strategies are open to all PGCPS teachers throughout the school year;
- Schools can request additional support and professional development from the Arts Integration Department.
