Some decades old PGCPS school cafeterias have undergone an exciting transformation, turning ordinary dining spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity and connection.
Students were thrilled to discover the upgrades, which include redesigned layouts, high tables and chairs, colorful murals, and lively color schemes.
“It’s very different, very vibrant and joyful,” said one Gwynn Park High School Student. “It’s a social center and more people are connecting and I feel it’s bringing people together.”
PGCPS is currently in the second phase of these cafeteria renovations. Recently completed schools include Bowie, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Gwynn Park High Schools, as well as Stephen Decatur Middle School. This school year, ten more schools will see their dining spaces revitalized!
Check out how these enhancements are reshaping the dining experience for our students!
