The Innovation Lab meets quarterly and serves as a dynamic hub for creativity and experimentation in education. In collaboration with the strategic partners, we seek to empower educators to explore, prototype, and implement innovative ideas that enhance teaching and learning across our diverse school system.

In the Innovation Lab, we facilitate collaborative projects that integrate diverse perspectives, technology, and pedagogical insights to address educational challenges and opportunities. Through research, design thinking, and iterative development, we aim to cultivate a culture of innovation where bold ideas are nurtured into practical solutions.

We actively engage with stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, students, and community members, to co-create and test innovative approaches that promote equity, inclusivity, and academic excellence.

The Innovation Lab plays a crucial role in shaping the future of education in Prince George’s County Public Schools, and in preparing all learners to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

We are always looking for ways to grow and thrive. If you have an innovative idea for collaborating with the Division of Academics, please reach out to innovation.office@pgcps.org

The responsibilities include collaborating closely with stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and technical staff, to design and customize Canvas to align with our educational goals and curriculum standards. Within this role, the division of academics is able to integrate academic resources seamlessly into Canvas, such as digital content, assessments, and collaboration tools, fostering a robust digital learning environment.

Furthermore, I oversee the development of policies and procedures related to Canvas usage within the Division of Academics, ensuring compliance with best practices in instructional technology and data privacy.
