Phyllis E. Williams Spanish Immersion Students Enjoy Inaugural Trip to Spain
After two years of planning, fifth-grade students from Phyllis E. WIlliams Spanish Immersion took part in the Spanish Immersion program’s first international trip.
Organized by parents to nurture multilingualism and encourage global leadership, students spent 11 days taking their language skills from academic to practical, real-world application. The trip allowed students to experience the centuries-old history of Spain while developing new language skills, independence, flexibility, problem-solving, critical thinking and team communications.
