Community groups shall be permitted to use school facilities when such uses will not interfere with the program of the school. The use of school facilities shall be available to community groups on application in the prescribed manner and shall be subject to school law. The Prince George’s County public school system does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, sex, national origin, religion, or handicapping condition.
The Superintendent or Superintendent’s designee is authorized to approve and schedule the use of school facilities by non-school organizations in accordance with school law.
A scale of fees shall be established which shall cover the operation, maintenance, custodial, and food service costs of the building when in use by non-school organizations.
The Superintendent shall adopt procedures for the implementation of this policy.
