The Board of Education recognizes the great amount of responsibility placed upon the Principal for proper management of school finances and the need to render a public accounting of school funds. The Board of Education therefore directs the Superintendent to develop and provide an effective system of accounts and procedures to the Principal in support of those responsibilities.
The books of account with supporting papers shall be open for interim examination during the school year and an annual audit by the Superintendent’s auditors during the summer months. An annual summary report of the financial position of the schools, together with a report of significant audit events, will be made to the Board of Education by the Superintendent.
