Board Policy 6112 - Length of School Day for Students and Teachers

The Board of Education recognizes that a shorter school day for elementary schools offers advantages for students, teachers and parents.

The following is effective September 1975:

• Elementary Schools, Grades 1-6       6 hours
• Secondary Schools, Grades 7-12      6 ½ hours
• Workday for Teachers, K-l2                7 ½ hours
