At International High School at Largo, high school students have been growing a vegetable garden throughout the school year that offers nutritious foods to their community and local families! The program is a beloved fixture in the Largo community.
The Charles Herbert Flowers High School community hosted a mental health forum for freshman students in partnership with WPGC! The forum addressed the stigma around seeking mental health support and leveraged a panel of community voices to normalize the conversation around mental health. Several students were featured on local news outlets as they shared their perspectives on the importance of prioritizing mental health and knowing when to seek help.
Dozens of Riverdale Elementary School families, students and staff celebrated the environment and beautified school grounds! The event featured trash removal, planting new shrubs and learning about local wildlife.
Students in the Kenmoor Middle School Autism Program developed a kindness pledge to encourage students to always lead with kindness!
Kenmoor Middle School students are becoming excellent environmental stewards through lessons on local watersheds and the importance of preserving local butterfly and insect populations!
