Dear Falcons Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Oaklands Elementary! I hope your summer break was filled with rest, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. We are thrilled to welcome our students back and continue our journey of fostering their academic and social-emotional growth.
Our theme this year is EmPowering Students to SOAR to Excellence. We are committed to creating an environment where every student is engaged, empowered, and elevated to achieve their best.
Throughout the summer, our building services team has worked diligently to ensure our facilities are pristine and ready for the new school year. Our office staff has been busy assisting with registrations, ordering materials, and connecting with families to ensure a smooth start. We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment for your child every day. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, August 26, 2024, for the first day of school.

Important Information

- School Uniforms: Oaklands has a mandatory uniform policy. Students are expected to wear light or navy blue tops with navy blue bottoms. You can learn more about our uniform policy here.

- School Breakfast: Free breakfast will be provided for all students this year.
- School Lunch: We encourage all families to apply for free and reduced-priced meals at https://www.myschoolapps.com/ as free lunches are not guaranteed for school year 24-25. Your participation helps us receive supplementary Title I funds for additional resources, including classroom teacher positions.
- ClassDojo: Sign up for ClassDojo with your child’s teacher for important information and announcements throughout the school year.
- Health and Safety: Health and safety remain a top priority at Oaklands. Please ensure your children are up-to-date with their immunizations.
