S.E.A. Day Program

The S.E.A. (Student Engagement & Achievement) Day experience represents the OHHS response to Advisory, which is a PGCPS district-wide initiative aimed at providing students with additional opportunities to learn and apply social, emotional, and related skills, attitudes, behaviors, and values that increase positivity and productivity. Here's how our program works:

  1. Teachers have identified a series of fun, enriching, and academically supportive activities to sponsor. Details about these activities are provided in the OHHS S.E.A. Day Options Catalog.
  2. Every other Wednesday, students receive an email along with numerous announcements from teachers and the main office to make their S.E.A. Day selections on the menu.
  3. On the following Wednesday, classes operate on shortened bell schedule to create a block of time for our S.E.A. Day sessions.

It is our belief that offering this time will allow students to access additional support in their classes, try new hobbies, and get a bit of a mental break from their regular class schedule through participation in this program. For additional information, please feel free to peruse the S.E.A. Day Overview Presentation or contact Mrs. Asamoah amber.asamoah@pgcps.org.
