Dear District Heights Families,
We welcome you!! We welcome our students back to school for the 2023- 2024 school year! It is so exciting to get going and we can’t wait to see the children in our classrooms! The District Heights Teachers & Staff are busy preparing for the return of our kids and are eager to start implementing some exciting new lessons from our curriculum! Our new Superintendent - Mr. Millard House II, has stepped in and is anxious to work hard to take PGCPS to the next level. At DHES, we will have a continued emphasis on mathematics and literacy through the arts! Additionally, this year, we will explore the exciting world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)! So, it all fits together to create an amazing instructional program! I firmly believe we are going in the right direction for our students and their future learning!
I hope you had a wonderful summer. I also hope you are relaxed, recharged, and ready to start a new school year. I am so delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and I look forward to working with you and your children. Here is some important information to ensure the first days and weeks of school get off to a great start.
