With great honor and excitement I welcome you to the James E. Duckworth Regional School, which is known for its dedication and commitment to its students and communities. As the Principal, I am committed to working together for a shared purpose and vision to ensure that our students are prepared with the necessary skills to be productive citizens. My passion for special education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped by over two decades as a school principal, special education teacher, mentor teacher, Vocational/Transition Coordinator, Comprehensive Special Education Program Coordinator, and Special Education Instructional Specialist in Prince George’s County Public Schools. My success in the aforementioned roles has been attributed to the collaboration of highly skilled professionals who foster ownership of the rich school culture—supporting our kids to do well in their lives at the center of our work.

My main focus at James E. Duckworth is to ensure that every student receives high-quality instruction. This is possible through the parents, staff, and community's hard work, dedication, and partnerships. Together, we will continue to review and develop the educational program so that it continues to raise the bar for students to have more opportunities for engagement and parental involvement. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve this community and will work hard to gain your trust and respect as your principal.
