Greetings Oaklands Elementary Falcon Family,

My name is Nicole Abdullah and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the newly appointed Acting Principal of Oaklands Elementary School. I am excited to become a part of the Oaklands Falcons family! I am committed to continue to support, sustain, and propel Oaklands further into educational excellence. I come to Oaklands with over 18 years of educational experience serving communities in Prince George's County Public Schools. I have worked as a classroom teacher, data coach, instructional lead teacher, curriculum developer, literacy coach, and for the past four years, as assistant principal at Calverton Elementary School. Each of these roles has allowed me to see the academic and social growth of my students and further craft my educational principles.

As a proud product of PGCPS, I am committed to the success of our scholars. I believe that every student deserves great teachers and great instruction to help them achieve their fullest potential. My goal is to work collaboratively with students, families, and the community to ensure Oaklands students have rich and rigorous educational experiences each and every day. I look forward to working with you and your students this school year.

Later this month, I will host Meet-and-Greets to allow me to learn more about you and your expectations for Oaklands. Information will be forthcoming. Again, I am humbled to join the Oaklands Elementary family. I look forward to collaborating with you to ensure the academic and social success of your students.
