Principal's Welcome Letter

Dear Chillum Elementary School Parents and Guardians,

As the proud principal of Chillum Elementary School, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the new school year! Whether you are a returning family or new to our school community, I extend a warm greeting to you and your child.

Our goal at Chillum is to provide each student with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that every child is capable of achieving greatness, and we are committed to ensuring that they have the tools, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.

This year, we are excited to continue building on the strengths of our students, staff, and parents. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working diligently to prepare for the year ahead, and we are eager to partner with you to support your child’s educational journey. I want to take this moment to remind you of our sneak-a-peak on this Friday August 23, 2024 from 9:30 am-11:30 am.

We understand that the success of our students depends on the collaboration between school and home. We encourage you to be involved in your child’s education, whether through volunteering, attending school events, or simply staying in regular communication with your child’s teachers. Together, we can create a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming events, including Back-to-School Night which is on September 12, 2024 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm and our first Parent-Teacher Conferences which are scheduled for October. Stay tuned for reminders and more information on these dates. These are wonderful opportunities to meet our staff, learn more about our programs, and connect with other families.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude for your trust and partnership. We are honored to play a role in your child’s development and are committed to making this school year one of growth, discovery, and achievement.
