Dear Parents, Guardians, & Community,
Welcome to Frances Fuchs Early Childhood Center for School Year 2023- 2024! Frances Fuchs was instrumental in establishing the type and focus of special education programs in this county. She was involved in the late 1950s in the initiation of a program known today as an early childhood center. Her vision was that we would have a center where the related service providers were located on the campus and available to provide the necessary and prescribed services that our children need to develop! Our administrative team, office staff, classroom teachers, specialists and support staff are eager to welcome you back. We have the hardest working staff in ALL of Prince George’s County. They are waiting to partner with you, your child, and your entire family. We are truly grateful that you have enrolled your child and placed them in our care. We are confident that you will enjoy your experience with us and your child will show significant growth throughout their time here due to our partnership and commitment. Their success begins at home, with you.

This should provide you with the necessary information that you need to be well informed of our upcoming events, including the first day of school. Visit our school district’s website as well for updates and useful information at www.pgcps.org
You can find out who your child’s teacher is by accessing your SchoolMax Family Portal account. The steps to creating an account are in our newsletter. Your child’s teacher will also call you to introduce her/ himself and answer any questions you have about the start of the year!
