We offer a variety of clubs and activities at Hyattsville Middle School. See below and contact the club sponsor for more information.
Crochet Club
- Club Sponsor: Ms. Jacobson (anastasia.jacobson@pgcps.org)
- Meets Mondays after school until 5:30pm
- Students must provide their own transportation home.
- Learn how to crochet. Hooks and yarn will be provided.

Green Team
- Club Sponsor: Ms. Jacobson (anastasia.jacobson@pgcps.org)
- Meets Fridays before school from 8am to 9:30am
- Students must provide their own transportation to school.
- Take environmental action at school! Students will take field trips, collect data using the trees on campus, and more!

Cheerleading
- Club Sponsors: Ms. Gayles (quintyra.gayles@pgcps.org) and Ms. Williams-Blackwell (je.williamsblackwell@pgcps.org)
- Tryouts: Wednesday October 16 and Thursday October 17 at 4:30, HMS Cafeteria. Pick-up is at 5:55pm.
- Students must provide their own transportation home.
- Students must have turned in a physical exam.
- Students must have a 2.0 GPA for 1st Quarter.
- Students will cheer at all home games and a county competition.
- Must wear atheltic attire and sneakers (preferably white).
Chess Club

- Meets Thursdays after school
- Students must provide their own transportation home
- Learn how to play chess and participate in school tournaments.
Student Government Association

- Meets Wednesdays before school at 8:15am
