Young Men
- 6th grade: Black or Gray
- 7th grade: White or Pale Yellow
- 8th grade: Navy or Light Blue
- Tops: Young men wear solid colored long or short-sleeved polo style or golf style shirts with or without the JMMS logo.
- Shirts must be tucked into the pants/shorts.
- No hooded shirts and sweatshirts.
- Bottoms: Young men wear solid colored navy blue or khaki uniform pants or shorts with a basic black or brown belt.
- Cargo pants/shorts are NOT permitted.
- All pants must be appropriately sized to eliminate any bagging or sagging. Pants/shorts must be worn at the natural waistline. A belt must be worn if the garment has belt loops.
- Shoes: Any color closed-toe, closed-heel, and rubber soled with basic black, brown, or white socks. Shoe styles include tennis shoes and boots.
- No shoes with attachments such as “wings”, “stuffed animals” “flashing or stationary lights”, “bells” etc.; Croc-style shoes, flip-flops and slippers are not permitted.
- Boots: Any color winter or rain boots may be worn only during inclement weather.
- No boots with attachments such as “wings”, “stuffed animals” “flashing or stationary lights”, “bells” etc.
Young Ladies

- Bottoms: Young ladies wear solid colored navy blue or khaki uniform pants, shorts, or skorts, with a basic black or brown belt.
- Cargo pants of ANY kind are NOT permitted.
- Skirts, skorts, and shorts must not fall above the knee.
- (Pencil-style and/or closely fitted skirts are not allowed).
- (“Daisy-duke” style shorts are not allowed).
- All pants must be appropriately sized to eliminate any bagging or sagging. Pants must be worn at the natural waistline. A belt must be worn if the garment has belt loops and must not hang around the waist or hip area.
- Shoes: Any color closed-toe, closed-heel 1 to 1 ½ inch heel ONLY, and rubber soled with basic black, brown, or white socks, stockings, or tights.
- Fishnet or decorative stockings are not permitted.
- Shoe style includes shoes and boots.
- No shoes with attachments such as “wings”, “stuffed animals” “flashing or stationary lights”, “bells” etc.; Croc-style shoes, flip-flops and slippers are not permitted.

All Students
All students may wear Sweaters and/or vests in the color pertaining to their grade level:
- 6th grade: Black or Grey
- 7th grade: White or Yellow
- 8th grade: Navy Blue
- Head Coverings: As stated in the PGCPS System-Wide Dress code for Students: “Headdress can be worn indoors for religious or health reasons only.”
- Headbands: Non-decorative headbands are allowed; please refrain from headbands that display messages, “cat ears”, flashing or stationary lights, earphones, etc.
- Scarves covering a student’s head are not allowed and may not be worn as a headband.
- “Do-rags” covering a student’s head are not allowed.
- Students are NOT permitted to wear hoods in the building.
Styles and fabrics that are not permitted:
- Electronic/sparkling belts
- Stretch or form-fitting clothing
- Baggy pants
- Denim-jeans, pants, jackets
- Cargo or painter pants
- Cargo shorts
- Cut-off shorts
- Cropped shirts
- Button-less v-neck or sleeveless shirts or blouses
- Oversized sweatshirts or sweaters
- T-shirts of any type, including colored T-shirts under the uniform shirts
- Flip-flops, slippers, or sandals
- Athletic wear, sweat bands
- Beads, beaded necklaces, broaches or large pendant jewelry
- Earrings larger than 1.5” (quarter/half dollar size)
- Backpacks, book bags, or large purses cannot be worn during the school day
- Sunglasses
- Suspenders
Physical Education & Recreation Uniform for All Students
- Solid Grey tops
- Black bottoms (sweat pants or appropriate length shorts)
School Uniform Non-Compliance
- First violation - The teacher contacts the parent/guardian.
- Second violation - The teacher refers the student to the administration who contacts the parent/guardian by telephone and in writing that a second violation has occurred.
