Bus service eligibility is determined by PGCPS. Under Administrative Procedure 3541, regular middle school students are eligible for transportation if they reside two miles or more from their assigned school or for whom unsafe walking conditions exist. School hours are 7:45 am to 2:25 pm. Students may arrive no earlier than 7:15 am and will wait in the gym or cafeteria until 7:30 am. Kettering Middle follows the PGCPS A/B Day schedule and students have 5 MODs per day.
Breakfast is served from 7:15 am to 7:40 am. Lunch is served in the cafeteria from 10:15 am to 11:55 am. Students are split into three lunch periods based on their MOD schedule. Parents can add money to meal accounts through the My School Bucks website.
All students will attend Code of Conduct assemblies in September to discuss the expected behaviors, rewards, and consequences of Kettering Middle, including the school dress code. Kettering Middle is a uniform school. Please review the PGCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook with your child.
Yes, there are many opportunities for students to participate in sports and student clubs. Information will be distributed soon.
