Students will be receiving Homework in Math and Literacy! We want our students to be reach their greatest potential and completing their homework will give them the practice they need to reach their educational goals. To ensure our students are successful in completing their homework check out these tips:

  • Set up a quiet space for your student to focus on their assignments.
  • Parents and guardians should be available. You can be in the room or nearby in case your student needs help, they do not have to get up out of their seat. Remember you are there to help not do the work for them!
  • Make study time part of their daily routine. This can look different based on your students' needs. It can be after a snack and some relaxation time. The student would start their homework at the same time everyday.
  • This is a great time for students to use DreamBox and Lexia too!
  • Let your student pick what they want to work on first.
  • Keep in contact with your students' teacher. Let the teacher know if your student is struggling to complete the assignment or what part of the concept they are unsure about.
  • Be Positive! This is a time for the student to practice the skill not learn the skill. Praise your student for trying and what they did well.
  • Youtube may have helpful videos to watch on the topic that their homework is on.
  • Study time is a good opportunity to watch educational videos to practice grade level skills.
