Back-to-School Transportation Reminders!

Student transportation schedules have been updated ahead of the first day of school on Monday, August 26. Your child’s bus information may be viewed through the ParentVUE website or app or the StopFinder app. Students may view bus schedules in StudentVUE. 

Families may also contact their child’s school for updated school bus information.  

Please note:

• Students fully enrolled in PGCPS by August 7  have a bus assignment for the first day of school, with some limited exceptions
• Students enrolled after August 7 may not receive a bus schedule until the second week of school.

Other Important Things to Know

Late Registration

Families who register late and are not assigned a bus should submit a request through the PGCPS Transportation Resolution System. Bus assignments will be available in ParentVUE 3 to 5 days after enrollment is confirmed.

Opt-Out of Bus Service

New for the 2024-25 school year is the option to opt-out of bus service. If you have been assigned a bus and do not intend to use it, or if you opted out of transportation but now need bus service, please inform your school registrar.

StopFinder App

Download the StopFinder app for real-time tracking of your child’s school bus. An active ParentVUE account is required to receive an invitation to activate the app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Please ensure your email address in ParentVUE is current, as the app will not work otherwise.

Transportation Call Center: The call center will be available extra hours Thursday, August 22 through Sunday, August 25 for questions related to bus assignments. Call 301-952-6570 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.
