DuVal PTSA
Who We Are:
Parents For Schools (PFS) soon to be re-chartered as DuVal Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) which will be part of Maryland’s local PTA.
What is PFS:
- Is a 501(c)(3) charitable, scientific, literary, or educational organization.
- Our members get to make the decisions, approve bylaws, elect officers, and approve budgets and plans.
- We will partner with and focus on efforts for DuVal high school and community. It is a partnership.
PTAs Mission:
To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for ALL children.
PFS Goals:
- Increase membership to expand our reach.
- Raise funds to support the mission.
- Advocate for the education, physical and mental health, welfare, social, and safety of children and well-being for children and young people.
- Build intellectual growth, develop critical thinking and teamwork, and enable children to learn the crafts and techniques of Art (i.e. culinary, theater, music, fashion design), Sports, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
- Communicate, brand, beautify, socialize, publicize, and enable access to various resources and sources to keep families informed and make DuVal high school and community more attractive.
- Appreciate and establish partnerships, and sponsorship with donors/funders and partners to support us in our mission.
